Jim DuffyJim Duffy has been a firefighter for over 3o years, a career firefighter for over 16, and has served as Shift Commander in the Wallingford Fire Department for the last 7. Bob Gilhuly:

Bob Gihuly is a 25 year veteran of the fire service and a Captain serving as an Acting Battalion Chief with the New Haven (Ct.) Fire Department. He is also a volunteer with Madison Hose Co. 1 and a certified Fire Instructor working with Middlesex County Fire School. He has served as an Occupational Safety and Health consultant for Dupont, Brookdale International as well as Yale Universityʼs study on the respiratory effects on firefighters, developing a Train the Trainer program. He has also served as a consultant to CIRMA for developing a national model for the rehabilitation of firefighter injuries. He has worked on several videos for Fire Engineering including Firefighter Survival Techniques, Live Fire Training in Acquired Structures and John Normansʼ Size-Up DVD.

Frank Ricci:

Frank Ricci Currently he serves as the Director of Fire Services for ConnectiCOSH. He is an adjunct instructor for the New Haven Fire Department, Top Rung, Emergency Training Solutions, Middlesex County Fire School and a FDIC hot instructor and lecturer. Frank has been a subject matter consultant for Yale, FDNY, Essex PB&R, Williams Direct Dryers, Friction Force and the DuPont Corporation. Frank is one of the contributing authors of a book entitled Carbon Monoxide Poisoning CRC Press 2008. Frank has worked on a heavy rescue unit covering Bethesda and Chevy Chase MD and was a “student live in” at station 31 in Rockville MD. He was one of the co-authors of CT whistle blower law. He is in his 11th year with the New Haven Fire Department and most recently developed the Fire Engineering film “Smoke Showing.” He is a member of the IAFC Safety and Survival Section. Frank provides training to the US Military. Jason Emery:

Jason Emery has over 18 years of experience in the fire service. He has been a career firefighter with the City of Waterbury (CT) for the past fourteen years and has been assigned to the City’s Heavy Rescue/Haz-Mat Company for twelve years. Jason also serves as a volunteer EMT for his hometown ambulance service.

Jason has been a certified fire service instructor since 1997 and is a member of the International Society of Fire Service Instructors (ISFSI). He is an instructor for the Burrville Regional Fire Training School and is an FDIC lecturer.

Jason is the owner and founder of Emergency Training Solutions, LLC (ETS). Since 2000, ETS has written and produced cutting edge PowerPoint-based training programs. The firm also provides a variety of onsite training services, and is currently developing the companion forcible entry training program for the Friction Force training prop.

Jason has lectured extensively on the subject of Hybrid Vehicles and Vehicle Occupant Protection Systems. He will be presenting the Hybrid Vehicle program at FDIC 2008. He has published articles on Hybrid Vehicles in Fire Chief Magazine and Fire Engineering’s e-newsletter.
He is a graduate of the University of New Haven with a bachelor’s degree in Fire Science and holds numerous fire service certifications.

Chris Pepler:

Chris Pepler has over 18 years of experience in the fire service. He has been a career firefighter with the City of Torrington (CT) for the past eight years.

Chris has been a certified fire service instructor since 1997 and is a member of the International Society of Fire Service Instructors (ISFSI). He is an instructor for the Connecticut Fire Academy and the Wolcott State Fire Training School.

Chris is the Director of Training for Emergency Training Solutions, LLC (ETS). As such, he is responsible for the coordination of all on site training services to customers throughout the U.S. He Co-authored the ETS Vehicle Extrication Program
He has lectured extensively on the subject of Vehicle Occupant Protection Systems and Vehicle Extrication.

He has served as a Union Official for the past 5 years and is currently the Union President.

Reilly is a member of the Ridgewood (NJ) Fire Department; Certified NJ Fire Instructor; a Board Member of the Fire Safety Directors Association of New York City (FSDNY); a Board Member of the Cyanide Poisoning Treatment Coalition (CPCT); an Emergency Action Plan (EAP) writer and high–rise/life safety consultant in NYC; contributing author to the book Carbon Monoxide Poisoning, edited by Dr. David Penney; creator of R–EBT; Kevin has also been previously published in Fire Engineering, “Chronic CO Poisoning in Firefighters” — June 2006, and “Rethinking Air Management” — April 2008.
